Military-grade aluminum water bottles can be used to hold boiling water. Under normal circumstances, at room temperature, aluminum has extremely low solubility and almost no reaction. However, it can be used under the high temperature of boiling water. Therefore, using an aluminum bottle to hold boiling water will cause the aluminum content in the water to exceed safe levels.
Furthermore, besides releasing some chemical substances when heated, aluminum water bottles are also highly susceptible to bacterial growth. Although the surface appears smooth, it actually has many pores that easily trap dirt and grime. In offices, people usually only rinse their cups with water, which doesn't ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection. Stainless steel or glass cups are preferable for offices; they should be washed daily with detergent and rinsed with hot water.
